Working with farmers, Matt leads carbon-friendly farming programs that create low-carbon feedstocks for ethanol biorefineries. He has led the development of value-added feed products, tailoring solutions for both ethanol biorefineries and animal feeders. He is also responsible for the commercialization strategy of feed products created with ICM technologies. Prior to his time with National Sorghum Producers and ICM, Matt spent 11 years at Conestoga Energy in various roles from plant manager to vice president of marketing. He is a graduate of Washburn University, where he studied finance, economics and marketing. He earned his bachelor's degree and MBA while playing college football. With strong roots in production agriculture, Matt and his wife Lindsay and four children live on a fourth-generation family farm and cattle ranch near Dodge City, Kansas.
